4 Nights / 5 Days Discover Western Bhutan Tour
Day 1 – Arrival Paro (2250m) – Thimphu (2350m)
Arrive at Paro International Airport by Bhutan’s national airline and enjoy breathtaking views of the Himalayan mountains during the flight. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by fresh mountain air and welcomed by your guide.
After visa and customs formalities, visit **Paro Rinpung Dzong**, a historic fortress built in 1646 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal.
Later drive about one hour to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan.

Day 2 – Thimphu – Punakha
After breakfast explore Thimphu city.
Visit:

- Folk Heritage Museum
- Institute of Traditional Medicine
- Textile Museum

Day 3 – Punakha – Paro
After breakfast visit the majestic **Punakha Dzong**, located at the confluence of Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers.
Then take a short hike to **Chimi Lhakhang**, the famous Temple of Fertility dedicated to Drukpa Kuenley.
After lunch drive back to Paro.

Day 4 – Paro – Tiger’s Nest Monastery Hike
After breakfast hike to the iconic **Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest)**, dramatically perched on a cliff about 900 meters above the Paro valley.
The hike takes about 2 hours to the cafeteria viewpoint where you can enjoy spectacular views of the monastery.
After returning, visit **Kyichu Lhakhang**, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan.

Day 5 – Departure from Paro
After breakfast transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward flight. Say farewell to Bhutan, the Land of the Thunder Dragon.
